Springsteen To Show BJC Who’s The Boss
All Tony Danza jokes aside, the Bryce Jordan Center has announced an upcoming visit from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band:
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be making a stop at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center on Friday, May 8, in support of their new album, “Working on a Dream,” released today (Jan. 27) on Columbia Records.
Tickets are $102, $70.50 and $43, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Tickets Downtown, Penn State Altoona campus ticket outlet, all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at (814) 865-5555 or at http://www.bjc.psu.edu online.
Springsteen has toured with the E Street Band periodically since 1972, performing a number of notable concerts, including this Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIII.
The new album, “Working on a Dream,” features the Golden-globe winning song “The Wrestler,” written for the critically acclaimed movie of the same title.

Gorman Abruptly Resigns
Head coach of the men’s soccer program Barry Gorman unexpectedly announced his resignation Monday. He leaves a legacy of 22 years of coaching and three Big Ten titles in his wake. Citing “personal reasons,” he has left the team to a nation-wide search for his successor.
“We expected Gorman to be there,” [rising Senior and Co-Captain Andres] Casais said of next season. “He was a father figure to us.”
Oof, that can’t feel good. The move isn’t completely out of the blue, as Gorman was periodically absent during the past few weeks without notice. But from all accounts, his intention to resign was only revealed yesterday. On the abandonment scale, this registers just slightly above “going to the store for some cigarettes and never coming back.”
