International Affairs Event
Penn State will be hosting a lecture series with the Honorable Richard Butler AC, former Australian Ambassador to the United Nations and expert in nuclear arms control and disarmament. Butler served as the U.N.’s chief arms inspector for Iraq from 1997 to 1999. All lectures will be held in the Greg Sutliff Auditorium of the Katz Law Building, across Park Ave. from the Business Building (We’ll be posting a more in depth analysis of the new building shortly).
Lecture Dates and Topics:
February 19th at 4 PM- Renewing U.S. Foreign Policy
March 5th at 4 PM- The Elimination of Nuclear Weapons
April 2nd at 4 PM- Reform of the UN Security Council
These topics should interest even the most novice International Affairs aficionado. Onward State will probably be present at these events and we look forward to seeing you there too.

Senior Writes Final Column
Senior columns, with all their melodrama and platitudes, usually leave me eye-rolling and shaking my head with a vigor usually reserved for study abroad blog posts. But, as I graduate a week from today, I figured I should give it a go myself. Rather than discuss the origins of Onward State like Evan, I’d just like to briefly thank a few individuals who have defined my Penn State experience.
