Behind the Scenes: Making the Blue Band
What: Cole Cullen, Producer/Editor of Penn State Public Broadcasting’s “Making the Blue Band”, discusses his experiences of making a documentary film and what it takes to make the Blue Band.

“Making the Blue Band” is a one-hour documentary that debuted in November 2008 and has aired on public television stations throughout Pennsylvania. The behind-the-scenes show follows eight incoming freshmen through auditions, cuts and the grueling days of band camp as they pursue their goal of playing in the Penn State Blue Band.
Cullen and Executive Producer Jeff Hughes, both Penn State alums, will be receiving a Bronze Telly Award for the exceptional video editing exhibited in the documentary.
