“The Wheels on the Bus” at UPUA Tonight

cataFor those of you interested in the proposed CATA “Greek Loop” UPUA President Gavin Keirans has promoted, the UPUA meeting tonight in 302 HUB at 8 PM will surely give you more information.

Keirans, Interfraternity Council President Luke Pierce and other members of UPUA have been meeting with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in an effort to extend bus services to go from Fraternity Row to all the residence halls, Keirans (junior-business management) said.

At the meeting, the purpose of the “Greek Loop”, actually to be called the “Highlands Loop”, will be more fully explained, apparently to counter possible concern that the goal is to increase fraternity participation. The true purpose, as the loop has been promoted, is to instill safety on campus.

Which of these is true? Will conflict break out? The only way to find out is to go to 302 HUB at 8 PM this evening.

Senior Writes Final Column

Senior columns, with all their melodrama and platitudes, usually leave me eye-rolling and shaking my head with a vigor usually reserved for study abroad blog posts. But, as I graduate a week from today, I figured I should give it a go myself. Rather than discuss the origins of Onward State like Evan,  I’d just like to briefly thank a few individuals who have defined my Penn State experience.
