Is Beaver Stadium an indoor facility? The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania says “yes,” due to the barrier surrounding the stadium.
As a result, the Clean Indoor Air Act of 2008 now applies to Beaver Stadium, so smokers must refrain from lighting up anywhere in the facility.
We’ll see how this supposed crackdown pans out at the Blue and White Game this weekend. Authorities will issue warnings to first-time offenders, followed by removal from the stadium for additional transgressions. If students refuse to comply with the rule, they can risk losing their ticket privileges.
Where is the public outcry regarding blatant drunkenness in Beaver Stadium? Public puking? Hating on the occasional quiet smoker is out of line.
Policy makers should create a “smoker’s corner” somewhere on the premises, where smokers can have a drag then return to their seats. Let’s not even consider a “drinker’s corner.”
Anyway, Beaver Stadium is NOT an indoor facility. If smokers are outside, let them be. Their unhealthy bodies will punish them enough without the help of stadium authorities.

Homes of the Indian Nation (HOINA) is a nonprofit organization which runs an orphanage and school in Andhra Pradesh, India. All proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit the orphans themselves.
