Center for Performing Arts Patio Party
What: The Center for Performing Arts is hosting the second annual ‘Come Curious’ part this evening on the patio of the Eisenhower Auditorioum. Students will be able to buy tickets for 20% off their already discounted price. There will also be free food, entertainment, and prizes.
(Listed food sponsors include Belly Busters Burritos, Clem’s, Insomnia Cookies, and Nittany Beverage. I just wish that last firm was providing that which makes them profitable… but still, it’ll be a great spread.)
When: Wednesday September 9 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
