The Student Life & Diversity Committee, part of the University Park Undergraduate Association, will be hosting Campus Night Out tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. in front of Old Main.

The event is meant to address health and safety issues on campus, as UPUA spokesperson Emily Enders explains.

Its mission is to bring students together to acknowledge the reality of sexual assault, physical [and] domestic violence, drug [and] alcohol abuse, and health safety on college campuses. UPUA hopes this event will spread awareness about these crucial issues.

Campus Night Out will feature representatives from Penn State administration, the State College Borough, University Health Services, and the Centre County Women’s Resource Center. Damon Sims, Vice President for Student Affairs, will speak at the event. There will also be performances, free food, and t-shirts.
