First CCSG Council Tonight
Student government representatives from all 19 Commonewalth Campuses will trek up to University Park this weekend for this year’s first monthly collective meeting of the Commonwealth Council of Student Governments, usually referred to as Council Weekend or Council.
CCSG President Mohamed Raouda gave a preview of this weekend’s festivities at Wednesday’s University Park Undergraduate Association meeting, inviting Assembly members to come and show support for and solidarity with the Commonwealth Campuses. Among the Council’s hopes are to strengthen its relationship with UPUA and to address several issues relating to all Penn State campuses, such as the student transition to University Park.
Council will consist of two sessions. The first is a more informal session and will take place tonight from 8 to 10 p.m. in Heritage Hall. The bulk of the conference, however, will be tomorrow Saturday, and will run from 9 a.m. to about 4:30 or 5 p.m., also in Heritage Hall.
