The State College Borough Council announced that today it will be reviewing a proposal to add a position for a non-voting representative from PennState’s student body.

“Borough Council has determined that the appointment of a person to serve as a designated Student Representative to Borough Council will assist in the process of improving communication between the body of the students residing within the Borough and Borough Council,” the proposal said.

Many of the council’s members will review the proposal for the first time at Monday evening’s meeting. They plan to discuss the plan, which includes adding a 15 member student advisory board, and will compare it with the University Park Undergraduate Association’s original proposal.

The meeting will take place  tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers.
