Lady Lions Upset Illinois
Danielle Toney and Hayley Brock both scored first-half goals and goaltender Krissy Tribbett garnered another shutout as the Lady Lions upset the No.13-ranked Lady Illini of Illinois 2-0 on Sunday in Champaign.
Jess Rosenbluth also had a couple of points as she assisted on both the Toney and Brock goals. Penn State put 10 shots on goal during the contest in contrast with Illinois’ two.
While the girls are still under .500 for the season, they do boast a 5-2-0 Big Ten record and are picking up steam as the season is going along, something needed if they are to capture their 13th straight Big Ten conference championship.
Make sure to wear your Halloween costumes to Thursday night’s game against Indiana and support the Lady Lions as they hope to finish out their season strongly!
