Lucas Carpenter Pops in at the HUB
Loop artist Lucas Carpenter will have all his pre-recorded bells and penny whistles ready for his set this Friday at noon on the first floor of the HUB.
As part of the Student Programming Association’s Noontime Concert Series, Carpenter will be showcasing his electro-acoustic fusion to students for free. The Williamsport native’s soulful sounds could be compared to Owl City with folk-inspired acoustic riffs and a ringing voice, fit for off-Broadway musicals.
Skewing the idea of a conventional band, Carpenter uses an intuitive loop pedal to create a symphony of sounds all by himself. This multi-talented artist retires the limitations of genres and, in the form of video game music on Zoloft, creates stories through his sonic songwriting.
