Earlier today, Penn State Athletics announced that this year’s Homecoming game will be played against the Purdue Boilermakers at 12:00 noon on October 15.

It’s an early game, but then again this year most of them are. Worry not, though, fellow Penn Stater… What this kickoff time calls for is a jaunt to the Homecoming Parade on Friday evening and a relatively quiet night out… followed by a good game, some great food, a postprandial nap, and an epic State College night out.

Led by Executive Director Leah Matusow, this year’s Homecoming should be another excellent one. The weekend will see not only the game and related activities mentioned above, but also the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen, the always popular Guarding of the Lion Shrine, and plenty of other festivities leading up to Saturday.
