Big Ten Announces Championship Locations

The Big Ten Conference announced this weekend that the cities of Chicago, Hoffman Estates and Indianapolis will rotate as the host sites for the Big Ten Football Championship Games and Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments over a four-year period.

The inaugural Big Ten Football Championship will be held in primetime on December 3, 2011 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis — and, fair or not, that facility will also host the title game in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments will be held at facilities in Indianapolis during the 2012, 2014, and 2016 seasons.

In 2013 and 2015, the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held in Chicago at the United Center. During those same years, the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held in suburban Chicago when the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
