Chambers Adds Keith Urgo as Assistant Coach
When Pat Chambers said he was going to recruit Philly hard, he wasn’t kidding. This afternoon, Chambers added a second coach to his staff in Villanova’s Keith Urgo.
Urgo spent the past four years at Villanova, where Chambers also coached. During the 2008-2009 season, when Villanova made a run to the Final Four, he was the Director of Basketball Operations. Last season, he served as an assistant coach to Jay Wright. He played college basketball at Fairfield University and graduated in 2002.
All three coaches, including Chambers himself, are Philadelphia area residents and are part of the Jay Wright coaching tree.
