Whiting Out Illinois, Literally.

Flashback to the snowfall of the Michigan State game - November 2008.

Yesterday, I wrote this piece, discussing as to why there shouldn’t be a White Out on Saturday.

Welp, it looks like Mother Nature is more than willing to contribute to the atmosphere. During the game, expect 38 degrees, steady snow, and light winds. The official forecast from AccuWeather calls for 2-4 inches of snow during the day tomorrow. For better or for worse, it’s supposed to be wet snow. I shouldn’t have to say this, but PLEASE do not hurl snowballs towards the refs, cheerleaders, Lionettes, or opposing players. Not cool.

Anyways, I’m not sure if anyone has realized this, but we’ve been extremely fortunate with football weather lately. This is the first home game with serious precipitation, rain or snow, in over two years; the last being October 17, 2009, vs. Minnesota. Nevertheless, enjoy the weather, enjoy the game, and stay safe out there tomorrow. We wouldn’t want a slutty nurse to come down with hypothermia now, would we?

Regardless of the weather or your choice of apparel, the only thing I ask is that you are on time!
