Foster-Foreman Conference of Distinguished Writers

Each semester, the College of Communications hosts the Foster-Foreman Conference of Distinguished Writers. The conference brings talented and award-winning writers to campus to give free public lectures and opens the floor for questions from the audience at the end.

This semester’s speakers are Sports Illustrated senior writer, George Dohrmann, and national intelligence reporter for The Washington Post, Joby Warrick.

Dohrmann, author of “Play Their Hearts Out,” will speak tonight at Heritage Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center at 7 p.m.

Warrick will speak on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:10 a.m., also in Heritage Hall.

The conference has brought over 33 Pulitzer Prize winners to speak on campus. The length of the conference is designed to last about the length of a class period to accommodate students’ schedules.

Some places you’d never think of and some buildings you’ve probably never been in, but they’re all excellent places to study (most have comfy chairs).
