Joe Amendola filed a 95-page pre-trial motion in court on Thursday, requesting that all charges against Jerry Sandusky be dropped.

Amendola, Sandusky’s main defense counsel, says that due to lack of specificity in the Bill of Particulars which outlines the details of each alleged incident, he cannot adequately prepare a defense. Amendola cited “non specific allegations,” noting the vagueness in the dates of the alleged crimes, as well as the fact that two of the victims have not been identified yet.

Amendola argued unsuccessfully to receive a more specific Bill of Particulars, but the Commonwealth said that they could not provide one, because several of the alleged victims could not recall specific dates or times when the alleged crimes occurred.

Jury selection for the trial is set for May 14. We’ll have an update when Judge John Cleland makes a ruling on this matter.
