Joegies Renamed to HUB Subs

“Joegies” is no more, or at least in it its original namesake.

Per the HUB Dining website, the popular sub-sandwich shop (or hoagie for Philadelphians, like myself) known as “Joegies” has been renamed “HUB Subs”.

The Joegies logo has already been taken removed from its exterior window. It’s safe to assume that the shop will still have the same menu, just without the familiar logo of Joe Paterno’s iconic glasses and “Joegies” written in the late coach’s handwriting.

This is just another example where Paterno’s name has been purged from campus — but it could be the last for awhile. His statue has been removed, 111 of his wins have been forfeited, and now Joegies has been rebranded. However, The Paterno Library and Peachy Paterno ice cream will remain for the foreseeable future.
