Women’s Soccer Bounces Back Vs Central Michigan
Two days after the Penn State Women’s Soccer squad dropped a heartbreaker to Stanford, the Nittany Lions got their season back on track with a convincing 5-0 victory over Central Michigan.
Senior Midfielder Christine Nairn netted two goals, increasing her total tallies to five on the young season, while freshman Mallory Weber notched her fourth goal in as many games.
Penn State scored their handful of goals on only 11 shots. Central Michigan were held scoreless despite registering 21 shots.
Sixth-ranked Penn State figures to remain in the top 10 after a hard-fought loss to nation’s #1 ranked team and a decisive victory against the Chippewas.
The Nittany Lions will take on West Virginia and Pittsburgh this weekend at the WVU 90 Minute Classic.
