“Silent No More: Victim 1’s Fight for Justice Against Jerry Sandusky” Set for October 23 Release

As announced last week, Victim 1 will be writing a tell-all book about his interactions with Jerry Sandusky and the testimony that blew the case against him wide open. Details of that book — to be titled Silent No More: Victim #1’s Fight for Justice Against Jerry Sandusky — were recently released.

The book is set for a quick October 23 release and will be co-written by the boy’s mother, a psychologist, whose publisher told CBS that the memoir “will share how he survived years of shame and secrecy, harassment and accusation, before reporting Sandusky’s actions to the authorities, and will offer a hopeful and inspiring message for victims of abuse.”

Victim 1 will reveal his identity in an interview with ABC on the day of the book’s release, becoming the first victim that testified at Sandusky’s trial to go public with his identity. According to CBS, the publisher will be donating a portion of the financial gain from the book to a charity for victims of child abuse.

Penn State’s first president Evan Pugh was born in 1828 at Jordan Bank Farm, three miles south of the city center of Oxford, Pennsylvania, an hour west of Philadelphia in Chester County. One-hundred eighty-nine years later, an Oxford brewery is honoring one of the preeminent champions of “liberal and practical” higher education in the form of a delicious Porter.
