Ganim Says Goodbye to Patriot News, Hello to CNN
Sara Ganim has decided to leave her post at the Patriot News and head south to Atlanta to start working as a correspondent for CNN this week.
The 25-year-old journalist and Penn State graduate said in an interview with Penn Live story that she is, “excited to have the chance to cover national breaking news and enterprise.”
Ganim, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her reporting on the Jerry Sandusky scandal last year, said that it has nothing to do with the future of the Patriot News and that she will continue to report the latest news pertaining to the scandal. She sees her career with CNN as a great career opportunity with a broad geographic and topical range to cover.
“They cover so much, not just geographically but a range of topics,” Ganim said of CNN. “I’m excited to have the chance to cover national breaking news and enterprise.”
