According to The Centre Daily Times, a second Panera Bread location is opening up at 1613 North Atherton Street, across the street from Wal-Mart and right next to TJ Maxx. Shopping and a carb fix all in one? Sounds good to me.

The location was formally occupied by a Sherwin-Williams paint store, which moved across the street next to Best Buy. The new Panera will officially open for business on Friday.

“It came down to space, a good lease agreement and a Panera we felt was needed on this side of town,” said Braden Klinger, District Manager for Panera Bread .

In the past, Onward State has listed Panera (located on Allen Street) as one of the best places to study off campus, one of the best places for a vegetarian option, as well as one of the places to find some of the most valuable treasures when dumpster diving.
