Leonard Bernstein Mass Coming To PSU

Leonard Bernstein’s Mass is coming to Penn State and will be performed as part of a collaboration between Penn State’s School of Music, School of Theatre and Center for the Performing Arts, at 7:30 p.m. on April 5th and 6th and 2:00 p.m. on April 6th in the Eisenhower Auditorium.

Mass depicts “the exploration of a crisis of faith,” through a wide variety of music genres including rock, blues, Broadway and classical music, according to the Leonard Bernstein website.

Students from Penn State’s School of Music, School of Theatre, and Center for the Performing arts will perform in the choral ensemble, dancing, and orchestra in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture.

Tickets will be on sale for just $10 for Penn State students, making it affordable to see the work of Bernstein: one of the greatest talents of the 20th Century.

Tickets are $37 and non-Penn State students under 18 are $18. Five dollars from the adult ticket will go toward the College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Society Scholarship Endowment.
