CATA Says “Dump The Pump”

Having a car on campus kind of sucks. The amount of money that the average student pays for a semester-long parking pass could easily buy almost 300 slices of Canyon pizza. Then, once you get to your spot, you have to hoof it to catch the nearest Blue Loop, only to make it to class approximately an hour after you set out from your apartment to begin with.

Although public transportation can’t solve all your problems, CATA is certainly willing to throw you a bone: this Thursday is “Dump The Pump” day here in State College. This means that any CATA bus ride you take on Thursday is absolutely free.

Sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association, this “holiday” of sorts is designed to encourage more people to take advantage of their public transportation.

Let us know where you’re planning to go on “Dump the Pump” day and be sure to give a shout out to Hank CATAbus on Thursday.

IHOP: Worth The Wait (And The Weight)
