Spanier, Schultz, and Curley Plead ‘Not Guilty’
In what was the least surprising news of the day, the three Penn State administrators charged with failing to properly report Jerry Sandusky’s crimes all entered ‘Not Guilty’ pleas yesterday.
In legal papers released by the Dauphin County Courts on Monday, former Penn State President Graham Spanier, former athletic director Tim Curley and retired senior vice president for finance and business Gary Schultz all waived their right to a formal arraignment. That arraignment had been scheduled for Sept. 20.
Spanier, Curley and Schultz are charged with perjury, failure to report, endangering the welfare of children, criminal conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
All three maintain their innocence and say they’ve done nothing wrong.
The trio was ordered to stand trial following a two day preliminary hearing last week. You can check out yesterday’s filing below:
