Are You an Extreme Stater?

Do you enjoying challenging obstacle courses in a fast-paced atmosphere? Can you work well with a team without losing your temper? Can you run more than two miles without getting hungry?

If so, you may just be extreme enough for Penn State’s Extreme Stater, a race that features running, obstacles, and team challenges. Sponsored by numerous campus organizations including the Association of Residence Hall Students (ARHS), the Kinesiology Club, UPUA, and Res life, this race strives to “challenge your mind and body in ways the classroom can’t,” according to the event page.

The race will be held October 6 at 10 a.m. at the Snider Agricultural Arena on Campus. 25 teams will compete, with each team consisting of both two men, two women. Registration for the event has been open since September 9, and interested racers can still register anytime at the ARHS office in 206 HUB from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. All students must be present at registration with a student ID and a $20 registration fee. Registration will end when all 25 spots are full, or by October 2.
