Harlem Globetrotters Coming to the Jordan Center

The world-famous and somehow unbeatable Harlem Globetrotters announced that they will be visiting the Bryce Jordan Center on March 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. as part of their “Fans Rule” world tour.

The tour gives fans the choice to add one wacky rule to the game by voting, including things like a “trick shot challenge” where teams can attempt a trick shot for five points, however, if they miss, the other team gets five points.

The Globetrotters will provide a different kind of basketball toward the end of the college season, providing University Park with high-flying dunks, crazy ball-handling moves, and other things that definitely wouldn’t be allowed in NCAA games. As usual, the team will stay on the court after the game to give autographs and talk with fans.

Tickets start at $23.50 with a 25 percent discount for all students.

Fun fact: Former Penn State center and long-time university trustee Jesse Arnelle was a Harlem Globetrorrer in the 1950s.

About the Author

Mike Reisman

is a senior Supply Chain Management major with an Economics minor (Read: Business Douche) from South Jersey. He has an intense fear of graduating so please don't bring it up. He writes about stupid things nobody cares about, and student life if the site is low on content that is clearly supposed be funny but is really very unfunny. He is lovingly (?) known around the staff as Baby Mike which may or may not be because he has a child (hint: it’s not). He’s also a second generation Penn Stater who has been wearing Penn State sweatshirts since before he was two, a habit he hasn’t grown out of.
