Four-Star LB Josh Barajas Commits to Penn State

Who said Penn State wouldn’t be able to recruit top linebackers after the departure of defensive line coach and recruiter extraordinaire Larry Johnson?

After an unofficial visit on March 22, four-star linebacker Josh Barajas committed to Penn State Sunday afternoon.

Barajas, a member of the 2015 recruiting class, is a 6-3, 210-pound prospect from Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana. He received offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, and a variety of other top programs across the country. Coach James Franklin also announced the news, adopting the new #DominateTheStateS moniker:

Barajas is ranked as the 148th best recruit in the country, fourth amongst linebackers, and first in the state of Indiana by 247sports. You can check out his Hudle highlight reel here.

Penn State now has the second-best 2015 recruiting class, according to 247sports. Barajas’ commitment brings the Nittany Lions to eleven 2015 commits, eight of whom are four-star recruits.
