Two Men Stabbed at State College Apartment Building, Three Suspects Charged

Two men are recovering from stab wounds after a violent confrontation inside a State College apartment building.

Three alleged attackers were arrested and are facing a number of charges.

One victim was airlifted to Altoona Regional Hospital for treatment of a stab wound to his back. The second victim was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center for a small stab wound to his shoulder blade. Police say both victims were treated and released.

The stabbings happened around 2:40 a.m. Saturday in a hallway at 220 E. Foster Ave. Police say the two unidentified victims are college students at other campuses and were visiting for the weekend.

The two men, both 22-years-old, reportedly stopped to see a female friend who lives on the third floor.

They were met at the door by several other men who told them to leave. One of the victms reportedly tried to call his female friend. Police say that’s when three men came out of the residence armed with what appeared to be knives.

As the victims turned and tried to run down the stairs the three suspects allegedly stabbed and slashed at them.

Brandon Frick is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering. Police say Frick is a 21-year-old student at Penn State Altoona. He was taken to the Centre County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail.

William Stranburg is charged with terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering. According to police, Stranburg is a 21-year-old Penn State student. He was set free on $2,000 bail.

Twenty-two-year-old Robert Donaldson is charged with terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering. Donaldson, who police say is also a Penn State student, was released on $2,000 bail.

All three suspects are scheduled for preliminary hearings on April 16.
