Date for 2015 Blue-White Game Announced

Blue-White weekend just ended, but it’s already time to make plans for next year’s edition of Penn State’s biggest sports weekend of the spring.

It was announced yesterday that the 2015 Blue-White game will take place on April 18, 2015. Penn State will change things up next year, as the game — which usually kicks off early in the afternoon — will reportedly take place in the “mid to late afternoon,” according to a press release.

Per usual, the game will be free and open to the public, and will feature Penn State football in its final spring practice of the year. This year’s game had approximately 72,000 fans in attendance, which was the largest crowd among all spring games nationwide this year. The 70,000 person plateau has been eclipsed in each of the last three years.

“There was unbelievable support from the community, which doesn’t surprise me one bit,” head coach James Franklin said after the game.

Details about the weekend — from the official kick time to some of the festivities and special events that take place during the weekend — won’t be announced until after the football season ends.
