Penn State Student Enters Funny or Die Stand-Up Competition (And Needs Your Vote!)
A Penn State senior needs our help! The very funny Megan Goetz is a member of the Second Floor Stand-up club on campus, and has entered Funny or Die’s “Road 2 Oddball” competition.
Goetz, along with 11 other comedians, submitted her clip for the New York tour location. The top five ranked videos will be evaluated by judges, and the winner gets to open up for three other comedians at the show on May 20. The overall winner will perform on the “Road 2 Oddball” summer tour and festival.
“Winning this competition would help me for when I have to tell me parents I don’t think I’ll be getting a real job in the foreseeable future,” Goetz said. “I’m a comic, but I guess the jokes on you mom and dad. Aside from that, I almost couldn’t put into words what this would mean to me, especially with the support and help of the Penn State community.”
