Tim Frazier Announces He’ll Play Summer League With 76ers

After not getting selected in last night’s NBA Draft, Tim Frazier announced on Twitter today that he will be a member of the Philadelphia 76ers’ summer league team.

Frazier will be given the opportunity to join the Sixers’ roster following the end of the summer league season, which works as a tryout for players who weren’t drafted and a tune-up for those who were. After working out for the Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, and New York Knicks, the 76ers came away the most impressed, opting to invite him to their summer league in free agency rather than using a draft pick on the guard.

Graduating as the all-time assists leader and No. 7 scorer in school history, Frazier left a mark in Pat Chambers’ first few seasons at the helm of the program. Following a 2012-13 campaign lost to injury, Frazier played well this past season, averaging 14.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game with a career-high 46.8 shooting percentage from the field while leading the Nittany Lions to the CBI. Getting knocked out of the tournament by Siena might not have been the ideal way to end his college career, but Frazier has a lot to look forward to with the opportunity to join the 76ers. Congrats to the hard-working point guard!
