Thirteen years after 10 Penn State alumni were among the 2,977 people killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the College Republicans will again hold their annual memorial service in front of Old Main tomorrow.

For the fifth straight year, the organization will hold a service at noon to honor and remember all of the victims of the attack. At 10 a.m., members of the College Republicans will install 3,000 small United States flags on Old Main’s lawn, and the Pennharmonics will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America at the noon service.

State Rep. Kerry Benninghoff of Centre and Mifflin counties will be the nonpartisan event’s keynote speaker again this year, giving a reflective address to the crowd in remembrance of the victims.

The group has also invited members of the Alpha Fire Department and ROTC program at Penn State for the event.
