Distraction Of The Day: James Franklin Tells Player To Get To Class On Twitter
Throughout his coaching career, James Franklin has proved he’ll do anything it takes to improve his team.
During his introductory press conference, he joked he would “blow up balloons in their kids birthday party in the backyard” for someone in order to bring the community closer together. In his first week on Penn State’s campus, he took selfies with students in the Roar Zone of Pegula Ice Arena during a men’s hockey game. While at Vanderbilt, he even offered to call a fan’s boss to get him out of work so he could attend the upcoming Commodores home game.
Today, freshman offensive lineman Chance Sorrell tweeted that he didn’t leave himself much time to get to his early morning class. Franklin, ever vigilant on social media, responded with a tweet of his own, imploring the young man to kick it into high gear.
