Distraction Of The Day: Penn State Basketball Gets Yoked
After a disappointing 2013 campaign that saw Penn State’s men’s basketball team finish near the bottom of the Big Ten, the 2014-2015 Nittany Lions squad returns five of its six top scorers and is looking to make a name. Under head coach Pat Chambers and second-year strength coach Brandon Spayd, that means beginning the off-season with a hard-hitting training regimen with the goal of putting the Lions at their physical peak before tip-off at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The inaugural “Yoke Zone Challenge” is a competition of time-based physical challenges geared toward improving players both physically and mentally. The 14 players were split into seven pairs, with four teams representing the “Blue” team and the other three representing the “White” team.
