Penn State Slotted for Fourth Straight Noon Kickoff at Illinois

Penn State’s kick time against Illinois next Saturday has been set for noon E.T. (11 a.m. CT in Illinois). It’s the fourth straight game Penn State has been slotted in the early time spot.

The game will be aired on ESPN2, the Penn State Sports Network, and GoPSUSports.com.

The now bowl-eligible Nittany Lions (6-4) will tackle the Fighting Illini (4-6) for the 22nd time; Penn State has won 17 of the previous 21 meetings, including the last three. The two teams have matched up each of the last ten years, but after Saturday’s showdown, they won’t meet again until 2017.

Penn State defeated Temple 30-13 on Saturday to pick up its second win in a row after a four-game losing streak.

This is Penn State’s seventh time on an ESPN network this year.

Following the voyage to Champaign, Penn State will battle Michigan State back at Beaver Stadium on Senior Day for the Land Grant Trophy. Penn State hasn’t yet announced the kick time for the Nov. 29 contest against the Spartans.
