Garden State Radio Takes The Stage, Engages The Crowd

Garden State Radio returned to THON Saturday morning with a thrilling performance.

The band definitely did not disappoint the crowd. With an engaging set list including songs by Rita Ora and Miley Cyrus, every person in the BJC was dancing along. The band did not interact with the crowd much, but rather smoothly transitioned from one song to the next. Whether it was a current song or an older song the band kept the audience interested.

Garden State Radio hails out of New Jersey and performs across the Atlantic Coast. The lead singer, Kelly Caruso, was quite the vocalist. She was backed up by their bassist, Bobby August, and guitarist, Nick Navarro, who not only had the string chops but could also sing to back Caruso up. The band was supported by a great drummer, Ryan Kelly. Each of the vocalists were also given the chance to showcase their skills by taking lead on a song or two.

The band is known for its music as well as its light show, which completely illuminated the BJC and gave everyone a much needed wake-up call.

The reaction of the crowd definitely warrants a return to THON 2016.
