DOTD: James Franklin Should Pitch For The Yankees

Four months after defeating Boston College 31-30 in the Pinstripe Bowl, James Franklin took the mound where a football field once stood at Yankee Stadium to throw the ceremonial first pitch, and he went far above the call of duty by delivering a laser. Not unlike Sam Ficken’s walkoff extra point, Franklin’s pitch was a sure strike as soon as he let it go. Though he entered the stadium as the PR machine we’ve come to know and love…

…He left as a legend. Check out the pitch at 0:23 in the video:

Straight-up Cy Young caliber.

Despite his career as a quarterback ending in 1994 at East Stroudsburg University, Franklin’s arm is still working just fine, as evidenced by one of the nicest first pitches you’ll ever see. Good thing James Franklin is our coach instead of 50 CentCarly Rae Jepsen, or Baba Booey.
