No one really likes riding the CATA bus. It’s usually crowded, the app is almost always inaccurate, and it’s often just as quick to walk from Point A to B. But we put up with it anyways, and find ourselves consistently sandwiched between the same types of people on the bus. Here are some of our favorites.

Just Coming From The Gym

The exhausted look on her face says it all. She had enough energy to make it to the gym and work out, but not quite enough energy to make the walk back. Avoid sitting next to her, as she may emit less than desirable odors, and will likely be dripping in sweat.

Don’t Mind Me

C’mon, I know you see me sitting right here in this seat. No need for your backpack and your butt to be right in my face.

Catching A Nap

The bus is the perfect place to sneak a quick nap between classes, and the back bench is a prime spot to catch up on sleep.

OMG NO WAY!

Perhaps one of the most annoying people on the bus, this individual talks loud enough for the entire bus to hear his or her conversation. It’s enough to make any bus rider roll their eyes in disgust.

Human Road Block

“Please move to the back of the bus,” is a phrase we’re used to hearing from our CATA drivers, but not everyone always listens.  This person refuses to acknowledge that anyone else is attempting to get off the bus, and they’re the worst.

Hardcore Jammer

Please make your headphones a little bigger, and your music a little louder.

Moving In?

This person has enough bags to fill multiple seats after making the trip home for the weekend.

Seat Saver

At least your basketball is comfortable.

Love On The Loop

These people just make everyone incredibly uncomfortable. It’s great that you’re infatuated with each other, but you don’t have to convince everyone on the bus.

Better Luck Next Time

It’s hard not to feel bad for the person who just about catches the bus but loses all hope as it slowly begins to pull away. Poor soul. Enjoy the walk.
