World Campus Ranked No. 1 Program For Veterans

Just in time for Memorial Day, U.S. News and World Report ranked Penn State’s World Campus as the top online education program for veterans. (Allow me to note: Ohio State’s program didn’t come in until No. 7.)

On top of ranking No. 1 for online bachelor’s programs for veterans, five of World Campus’ graduate programs placed in the top five for their categories for best graduate programs for veterans, including non-MBA business (No. 4), engineering (No. 4), education (No. 4), computer information technology (No. 4), and MBA programs (No. 5).

The rankings were calculated through a rigorous evaluation process. To qualify for any veteran ranking, all schools had to first be ranked in the top 75 percent of schools evaluated in U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best Online Programs. World Campus was ranked the No. 1 best online bachelor’s program in this report, too. Beyond performing well in previous rankings, programs that qualified for best online program for veterans also had to be housed in a GI Bill-certified institution, and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

This top-ranking spot for veterans programs is nothing new to Penn State: we’re well known for providing stellar education and service to our veterans. In 2013, Penn State was ranked No. 1 for veteran students, and veteran students were granted access to priority registration in spring 2014.
