Penn State Vs. Temple Sells Out

Looking forward to Penn State’s season-opener at Temple tomorrow? So are more than 69,000 other people.

This will be the second sellout of a Temple game at Lincoln Financial Field since 2003 — the other coming against, you guessed it, Penn State in 2007. The highest attendance the Owls saw at home last year was 28,408 in their home opener against Navy (the highest attendance they saw all season was 100,173 at Beaver Stadium).

The game itself should be a very good one. Temple’s already dominant defense returns all 11 starters, and Penn State’s offense is expected to have improved marginally. On the other side of the ball, Penn State’s dominant defense will matchup favorably with Temple’s middling offense. Our staff unanimously predicts a win is on the way, but it should be close.

No matter what happens, football is back. Be sure to follow along on our site and Twitter tomorrow, and we’ll see you at the game.
