Blue And White Brigade Offering Free Transportation To Ohio State

UPUA created the The Blue and White Brigade two years ago to provide free transportation to a select few of Penn State’s away games, including football and hockey.

“The Blue & White Brigade program provides a service that the UPUA believes Penn State students deserve,” explained then Vice President Brenden Dooley. “It presents students with a responsible and reliable way of reaching away games so that they can support their school and team.”

In its Sept. 17 meeting, the tenth assembly approved this year’s reinstatement of the program, and this weekend’s match up with Ohio State will be UPUA’s first Blue and White Brigade of the season. Bus seats are available for those with game tickets on a first come, first serve basis. There will be two 55-capacity Fullington buses available for those who have a way to get into the game, but no way to get there.

The bus will depart from the HUB at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17. The bus will then arrive at Ohio State before the 8 p.m. kickoff, and return after the game ends. The match will be a test for Penn State, as Ohio State is currently ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation, sporting a undefeated record thus far. Penn State will need all the help it can get from fans, and hopefully UPUA is able to provide some of this extra support through the brigade.
