Penn State’s PAC Presenting ‘A Cappella Sampler’ Thursday Night

The Performing Arts Council (PAC) is a young organization at Penn State. Created in December 2014, the club began with only a few students but has since grown exponentially. The group’s ultimate goal is to break down the barriers between each individual performing arts organization and encourage collaboration and support. The PAC has further goals of providing performance opportunities to a variety of student organizations, and will do so Thursday, Nov. 12, with an “A Cappella Sampler.”

If you are interested in potentially joining one of the many a cappella groups here on campus, or if you would simply like to enjoy a night of talent and entertainment, come to Schwab Auditorium tomorrow night. The showcase will include performances from a few of Penn State’s talented vocal groups, including None of the Above, The Coda Conduct, Shades of Blue, The Pennharmonics, Savoir Faire, Blue in the Face, and The Statesmen.

The show starts at 8 p.m. but doors will be open at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all, but in order to guarantee your spot in the show, PAC is recommending you get a ticket. Tickets will be available in the HUB (at the PAC’s table downstairs) on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
