Penn State To Donate 50 Percent Of Ticket Proceeds From Final 3,000 Whiteout Seats To THON
This Saturday’s Whiteout against Michigan received an exciting twist, one that should provide fans additional incentive to attend one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. Penn State will donate 50 percent of the proceeds generated from the sale of the final 3,000 seats to THON in an effort to lend a helping hand.
Cancellation of the last two canning weekends has generated concern regarding the final total, leading many to believe that the total amount will be significantly lower than previous years. THON’s impact is palpable, reflected in the $127 million the organization’s raised since 1977 for families and children affected by this deadly disease.
Penn State lost to Michigan in a nail biter of a game last year, but the team looks to avenge last season’s loss in the final home game of the season. With what could potentially be Christian Hackenberg’s final home game, Saturday’s contest is shaping up to be an instant classic.
