ABC Nightline To Film Panel On Sexual Assault On Campus
ABC Nightline is coming to Penn State.
The network approached Penn State after noticing its extensive efforts surrounding the issue of sexual assault. Specifically President Eric Barron’s sexual assault and harassment task force and its subsequent recommendations.
The special segment will feature a panel discussion and focus on understanding consensual sex and the nuances that surround the topic, according to an email distributed to Comm 271 students.
Penn State has established itself as a leader among other universities with things like its new Green Dot initiative and Title IX coordinator. Senior Associate Director of Union and Student Activities Barry Bram is working with Nightline to coordinate the event.
The panel discussion will be filmed on February 10, at 1:30 – 4:00 pm in the Pavilion Theater. Attendance at the event is by invitation only.
