Students Start GoFundMe To Cover State Patty’s Day Fines

Like most Penn State students, you probably hit the town on Saturday with some friends to celebrate the State Patty’s Day festivities. Perhaps you attended an apartment party or maybe crashed a house daylong. Nothing beats a good State Patty’s daylong, but there’s a price to be paid for all that fun.

If you were among the students brave enough to offer your place of residence for this weekend’s alcohol-fueled shenanigans, your sanctuary was likely left ravaged in the wake of State Patty’s. If you’re like the residents The 727, the weekend might’ve taken a hefty toll on the wallet.

These brave residents set out to honor the tradition of State Patty’s Day and throw the rager to end all ragers. If the above picture is any indication, they were successful in their endeavors. However, their house was left a mess, and fines began to mount as a result of the party. So, like any wise college student would, they started a GoFundMe, asking their fellow peers to help pitch in to foot the bill. Here’s the description given on their page:

State Patty’s day was one hell of a day but now 727 needs to clean and pay citations and fines because we are normal people, not the superhumans you all probably thought we were. We also all have very subpar bank accounts so help us out by donating to the cause.

So far, the page has generated $305 — well short of the $2,000 goal. We want to ensure these noble students’ bank accounts stay afloat, so if you were fortunate enough to attend this glorious celebration — or if you’re just feeling generous — you can benefit the cause by donating here.

We all like to have fun, but let’s all pass it forward and ensure this isn’t the 727’s last ride.
