Christian Hackenberg, welcome to New York.

The former Penn State quarterback joined the Nittany Lion family in 2013 after being a five-star recruit out of high school. Hackenberg’s freshmen season was a successful one to say the least. Hackenberg was named the 2013 Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Hackenberg also earned MVP accolades after his performance in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in 2015.

Hackenberg entered the NFL Draft after forgoing his senior season at the conclusion of the Nittany Lions’ 24-17 loss to Georgia in the TaxSlayer Bowl. He leaves the program with a long list of accomplishments at quarterback.

Hackenberg departs from Penn State as the only 8,000-yard passer in program history, as well as being the holder of many other Penn State passing records. Hackenberg also has the most 300-yard passing games for a Penn State quarterback with nine, 200-yard passing games with 21, passing touchdowns with 48, passing yards with 8,457, completions (693) and attempts (1,235), and total offense with 8,215 yards.
