Citizens Bank Announces 2016 Football Button Slogans

Citizens Bank announced its 2016 Penn State football game button slogans today, according to We Are Central PA. For its 45th year producing buttons, Citizens Bank decided to allow employees to create the slogans.

“We are pleased to once again kick off the Citizens Bank button program, a longstanding tradition,” Daniel Fitzpatrick, President of Citizens Bank, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware told We Are Central PA. “This year’s buttons showcase the creativity and pride that our colleagues share along with fans and alumni all across Central Pennsylvania.”

This year’s slogans are as follows:

Kent State – “Gone in a Flash”

Pittsburgh – “Fail to Pitt”

Temple – “Lions Don’t Give a Hoot”

Michigan – “Lions Prefer Direwolves”

Minnesota – “Au Revoir Gopher”

Maryland – “No Fearing These Turtles

Ohio State – “Lions have Change for a Buck”

Purdue – “Train Heist”

Iowa – “All Hawk No Action”

Indiana – “Stick to the Hoops”

Rutgers – “Good Knight Sleep Tight”

Michigan State – “This Isn’t Sparta”

Starting on August 31, Citizens Bank will release a new button every Wednesday at 26 of their branch locations. You can get your buttons by donating a non-perishable food item, which will be given to area food banks. A full set of all 12 buttons can be purchased for $20 with a check made payable to the State College Food Bank, Inc. Nearly 5,000 pounds of food and $5,700 were donated last year by the football buttons program.

“We would like to give a sincere thanks to the customers and colleagues of  Citizens Bank,” Carol Pioli, executive director of The Food Bank of the State College Area told We Are Central PA. “Last year, their efforts helped us feed many families in need throughout State College and the surrounding area, and we look forward to helping even more families this fall.”
