Involvement Fair Kicks Off First Day Of Class On HUB Lawn

It’s that time of year again. With the start of classes comes a staple beginning of the year activity: the fall involvement fair. Whether this is your first semester at Penn State or your last, visiting the involvement fair is an underrated way to take advantage of the opportunities offered on campus.

There will be about 1,000 organizations represented at the fair this year, but the 2016 involvement fair will look mildly different from those in years past. Previously, the fair took place with hundreds of students packed into Alumni Hall on three separate days. This year, the one-day-only event will be relocated to the HUB Lawn. The involvement fair will take place on Monday, August 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with rain dates on August 23 or August 29 in case of inclement weather.

Penn State is undeniably huge, but getting involved is the perfect way to turn a large campus into a small one and University Park into your home away from home in the process. Whether you’re pursuing a longtime passion or interested in trying new things, the involvement fair is a great place to start. It can be overwhelming at first, but luckily we’ve got some tips that can help you enjoy the experience. Maintain your summer tan and get involved at this year’s involvement fair all-in-one.
