Paul Posluszny Lends Helping Hand To Neighbor Ahead Of Hurricane

Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny is known as one of the NFL’s hardest hitting linebackers and most feared run stuffers. But, ahead of Hurricane Matthew — a category three storm — Posluszny was able to provide his neighbor some assistance before evacuating Florida.

As first picked up by Brent Martineau of CBS47 in Jacksonville, we learned Posluszny played the role of good samaritan this week when he lent a helping hand to his neighbor who was bracing her home in preparation for the hurricane’s landfall. Poz, who was setting up his own home, dropped everything and installed neighbor Karen Adams’ hurricane shutters.

It was a simple act of kindness that speaks volumes about the type of person Posluszny is. With wind speeds reaching upwards of 120 mph, Posluszny’s helping hand figures to go a long way. It’s always nice to see players like Poz giving back.

Posluszny the linebacker is enjoying a successful season thus far with 35 tackles, one and a half sacks, and an interception through four games.

We hope all of our southern east coast readers are remaining safe as Hurricane Matthew makes its way toward land.
